Focus, Fuel, Fire (“we”, “us”) runs focusfuelfire.com, sells the 28-Day Ignite Within Challenge, and provides personal training and corporate wellness services. This policy covers all of it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because a privacy policy nobody can read is not much use to anybody.
The short version
- We collect what we need to sell you a programme, deliver it, and answer you when you write to us.
- We do not sell your personal information. We never have.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it.
- We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. You can opt out.
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address | When you buy, subscribe, use a calculator’s email option, or contact us | To deliver what you asked for and to reply |
| Billing details | At checkout | To take payment. Card numbers are handled by our payment processors and never stored on our servers. |
| Phone number | Only if you give it to us | To call you back if you would rather talk |
| Health and fitness inputs | When you use a calculator or fill in the programme tracker | To do the calculation or track your progress. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored unless you ask us to email you the results. |
| Usage data | Automatically, as you browse | Pages visited, rough location, device and browser type, and how you found us |
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful and where they arrive from. It sets cookies and records a shortened version of your IP address. We use it to make the site better, not to build a profile of you as an individual.
You can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine either way.
We also set cookies that are simply necessary for the site to function: keeping you logged in, remembering your shopping basket, and processing checkout. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that make the site work, and only what each one needs:
- Payment processors (PayPal and our card processor) to take payment
- MailerLite to send email if you have subscribed
- Google Analytics for the usage data described above
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database
- Foxz Creative, who build and maintain the site on our behalf
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. If that ever changed we would tell you first and give you a way to say no.
How long we keep it
- Order records: seven years, because tax rules require it.
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send.
- Contact messages: up to two years, so we have context if you write again.
- Analytics: 14 months, then Google deletes it automatically.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we will honour these:
- Access. Ask us what we hold about you and we will send you a copy.
- Correction. Tell us something is wrong and we will fix it.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your data and we will, except anything we are legally required to keep, such as completed order records.
- Opt out. Unsubscribe from email at any time, from any email.
- No retaliation. We will never give you a worse price or service for exercising any of these.
To make any of these requests, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, payment details are handled by PCI-compliant processors and never touch our servers, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but if a breach ever affected your data we would tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell subscribers by email rather than quietly editing the page.
